As you can see in the above picture, it makes mention that Nana Harriet was born into slavery. Therefore, no records of her birth are known. During my research, I have seen her birth year as being said to be anywhere from 1815 (which is the year indicated to be her birthdate, printed on her death certificate), to 1820, 1822, and 1825 (she believed that she was born in 1825).
