Through personal divining methods, along with astrological research, I was led to March as being Nanny Maroon's birth month and the 30th as her birthdate (which would have made her an Aries). As I did the divining, the 30th came up five times and March came up three times. I saw a lot of 3's and 5's in these oracular communications.
I want it to be known that these readings are not just a hobby of mines. I, as an Afrikan descendant of these ancestral spirits, AM a voice for those who want their stories told from "the other side." The Afrikan race has the Divine Birthrights as the Original Peoples, to have our stories told, whether incarnate (in the flesh), or discarnate (in the spirit).
I don't just come up with these readings. I involve myself in practiced and lived oracular techniques that I have been involved in for at least eleven (a master number by the way) years now. I have been studying and honing these skills for years. I must admit that I am combining previous studies with more recent ones now, and AM very pleased with the results, so far. I thought it interesting as well, during my divination activities, that Nanny's birthdate fell between the 28th, 29th and the 30th several times while asking what the actual date was. Also, notice in the article how it mentions the events connected to William Cuffee happening between the 29th and 30th of March. I DEFINITELY was picking up something.
Well, with the introduction out of the way, let us go with the flow of what's within and just roll with what we have for interest sake if nothing else.
I usually only use the five yearly influence cards (Long Range, Pluto, Result, Environment and Displacement) in my Destiny Cards blogs. This time, I am using one of the 52 Day Period Cards in order to show the uncanny connection of how divining for Nanny's birthday, fits right in line with the biographical descriptions of this magickal, mystical Lady of Obeah. We cannot dismiss this art because of logic's sake. There are intellegences beyond logic, just like there are winds that blow as a slight breeze or mighty and strong. We don't see them but we see and feel their effects.
Okay, so, the Queen of Clubs in Mercury Direct says: (This card represents an intelligent, quick-witted lady with whom you can communicate easily. This woman loves social life and people of intelligence but could be somewhat dominating (well, this would fit an Aries, wouldn't it?) She could also possess some kind of unusual information (I perceive this "unusual information " as being her gift of Obeah and her knowledge of herbs along with her ability to heal people. Also being an "intelligent, dominating" lady I feel pinpoints her leadership skills along with being Aries. Aries are known to be intellectual and quick-witted and the sign's astrological energies are masculine which equate to action/active/activity. I also happen to be an Aries myself 😊.
I see a lot of completion cards in Nanny's fifty second year of life cards. Such as in Nanny's Long Range Birth Card. She has a nine of diamonds. There were many things in her life at the time that had outlived their true usefulness. That year was meant for her to complete these things and to prepare for a new beginning that would follow. She had a lot of cards that indicated deaths (changes), endings, losses, disappointments and completions that would lead to new beginnings.
Interestingly, this was the year before her supposed physical death. I see similar threads with other readings that I have previously done (Malcolm X, Khalid A. Muhammad, and Amos N. Wilson). All of these revolutionary figures had come to the same point in their lives, in the year preceding their transitions.
Nanny's Pluto Card is Ace of Hearts. This indicates that "Granny Nanny" may have been going through some strong emotional changes and desires connected to the need for love in her life. Former relationships may have outlived their usefulness, as also indicated in her Long Range Card, Nine of Diamonds (completions.) She may have been seeking new relationships and love interests.
As with the Long Range Card and the Pluto Card, the Result Card, Five of Spades, is indicating "major transitions" that will bring a former way of existing to an end (completion.) I had divined before doing this reading, that Nanny Maroon's numerological energies were 3's and 5's. These had a major influence throughout her life.
The Queen of Hearts Environment Card goes along with all of the former Cards, so far. Especially going hand in hand with the Nine of Diamonds Pluto Card: Relationships that brings enjoyment, pleasure and rewards.
Amazingly, Nanny and Amos Wilson both had the Two of Clubs as their Displacement Cards. I also found it interesting that they were both 53 in the year preceding their deaths. She seemed to have been worried about something at this time of her life. I would surmise her worries as being connected to being a runaway slave, that was often in fear of being caught by her enslavers. This would make much sense. As well as possibly fearing the capture and deaths of those she loved. Anyone would most likely feel the same.
